LENDING OPERATIONS ASSISTANT

Type: Regular Full Time Hourly; Monday-Friday-(On site only)

Primary Objective of Position:

The Lending Operations Assistant Supports the Senior Vice President, other officers and Credit Administration as assigned and contributes to the smooth running and operational efficiency of the Lending Group.

Assists with direct customer service issues for the Senior Vice President.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Two or more years of work experience in a banking and/or business environment preferred.
  • Lending experience a plus.
  • Previous administrative support experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and ability to prioritize.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Willingness to cooperate and interact with all levels of staff management.
  • Must possess demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel plus the ability to learn new software applications.
  • Strong technology aptitude in order to handle various software programs within the Bank, including report development.
  • Assertive and self-directed; able to work in a changing environment with a minimum of direct supervision.
  • Have the ability to handle confidential information in a discreet manner.

Major Responsibilities:

Track, maintain and report Lending Group activity, such as relates to, the Appraisal Committee; approved listing of appraisers and title companies; and deposit committee; external loan review consultant; and other financial and information resources

Generate, maintain and distribute various financial reports and written policies for the Board of Directors, Bank management and the Lending Group.

Attend, transcribe, organize and retain the Credit Committee loan minutes.

Assist in the administration of various lending software.  Software such as Suntell, 20/20 support, and imaging of loan documents.  Support the development and maintenance of various loan department reporting thru the bank’s report writer.

Assist with Bank OREO activity, such as, tracking income and expense, as well as maintaining insurance coverage.

Review residential and commercial appraisals as part of the lending approval process.

Oversee the organization of the loan file room;

Sort and distribute all in-coming mail to appropriate employees once daily.

Record various mortgage documents at Washington County court house.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED required with the equivalent of two or more years of work experience in a banking and/or business environment.
  • Previous banking experience preferred.
  • Some bank accounting and Microsoft Excel experience desired.

Primary Objective of the Position:

The Credit Administration Assistant contributes to the smooth running of the Credit Administration Group by performing various accounting, technical, operational and customer service activities relating to administration of the bank’s loan portfolio.  This individual may provide assistance with training and problem resolution for other staff within the department.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Perform variety of duties related to loan administration, including: daily audit of loan data entry and loan maintenance, film new notes, perform loan research requests (both internal and external), generate past due notices, process paid consumer loans, pay invoices for loan expenses, process credit life/disability premiums, remittances, and rebates and book, proof, track letters of credit and track for flood insurance renewals.  Process Smart Pay Express Payments.
  • Review reports and follow-up as needed regarding: daily loan maintenance, late fees waived, exception items, overline report, EquiCheck stop suspect, credit bureau suspect, flood plan activity, and NetTeller report.
  • Assemble, prepare and maintain loan files in accordance with applicable procedures. Responsible for tracking and submitting all documentation necessary for lien perfection on titled collateral and audit of possessory collateral.
  • Accurately and efficiently prepare written correspondence and documentation, including loan payoff quotes and subordination agreements.
  • Back up other Credit Administration duties, including loan participations, new loan data entry, daily settlement and non-posts, and GL variance.
  • Provide on-going customer service to maintain positive customer relationships by providing assistance to lenders, bank employees and customers.
  • As a member of the Credit Administration/Lending Group, actively identifies customer needs and preferences and communicates observations to Group.
  • Fully understands all Bank products, communicates appropriately with customers about products and makes appropriate referrals to co-workers.
  • Assist with training and development of credit administration staff as needed or requested by Credit Administration Supervisor. Communicate system and procedure changes to other Credit Administration staff as needed.
  • Assist with providing technical and operational support on the JHA system to other loan staff as needed or requested. Investigate system problems as they become apparent and communicate observations to Credit Administration Supervisor for changes in procedure or for enhancements to JHA to ensure loan quality.

Regular Part-time Tellers
1
5-25 hours per week
Positions available in Stillwater, Lake Elmo and Oakdale 

We are looking for candidates who are friendly, professional, dependable, courteous and outgoing with excellent customer service skills.  Previous banking experience not required. Paid training will be provided.  

Benefits Include: 401(k), Employee Stock Ownership Plan and Paid Time Off. (Based on eligibility)

Hours: 15-25 hours per week.   Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule Monday-Friday between 7:45 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. and Saturdays 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The ideal candidate will be able to work the position year-round (this is not a seasonal position). 

Saturdays: All tellers must be able to work Saturdays from 8:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m.  (NOTE: In general, most tellers will not be scheduled to work every Saturday, but you need to be available)

Qualifications

  • 0-1 years of customer service and cash handling experience.
  • Extremely approachable and friendly.
  • Professional appearance, attitude and demeanor.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and phone skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • While performing the job, the employee must be able to stand up to 80% of the time.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Primary Objective of the Position:

The vast majority of Bank customers hold deposit and loan accounts.  Deposits represent our primary source of funds.  We continually face strong competition for deposit and loan accounts both from other banks and from nonbank investment firms.  In order to retain and grow our customer base, we strive to provide personal service second to none.

The Customer Service Representative is an essential link in outstanding service to customers.  This individual works with Bank customers, primarily by telephone, to respond to inquiries, execute transactions, and resolve problems.

Responsibilities

  • Handles customer inquiries and executes requested transactions effectively and efficiently, while consistently portraying an image of friendliness, courtesy, and professionalism.
  • Fully understands and consistently follows applicable policies and procedures in executing transactions and responding to inquiries; involves co-workers when appropriate.
  • Fully understands all traditional and electronic Bank products, effectively explains products to customers, problem solves with all products and makes appropriate referrals to co-works when necessary.
  • Works effectively with customers who dispute Bank policies, to maintain goodwill, while also adhering to policies and ensuring profitable relationships.
  • Works with customers seeking to close accounts or change account type; where possible, works to retain the customer; where necessary, handles closing of the account.
  • As a member of the Retail Banking Group, actively identifies customer needs and preferences and communicates observations to group.
