My Mobile Money Access, is an app offered by Lake Elmo Bank to help you control and monitor your LEB debit card usage anywhere, anytime using your mobile phone. With My Mobile Money Access you can protect your card from fraud by setting alerts and controls to determine how your card can be used. And, if you misplace your card, you can use the app to turn it off . . . and then turn it back on when you find it!
You can also use My Mobile Money Access to manage your spending. With customizable controls, alerts for spending limits, and easy-to-find account balances, you can set a budget and stick to it.

Card Controls Help Protect Your Account from Fraud
You can even set the app to deny a transaction before it takes place, based on the criteria you set. As with turning your card on and off, card controls will not interrupt recurring bill payments such as gym memberships or subscriptions.
A notification will be sent to your app if a transaction is conducted using your debit card that is suspected of being fraudulent. You will be given the opportunity to respond that it is a transaction you were attempting or it is fraudulent.

Added Protection to Keep Online Transactions Secure

FRAUD WATCH SERVICES
Lake Elmo Bank has partnered with FraudWatch Plus, where experienced fraud analysts work around the clock, watching for any suspicious card activity. Should they detect potential fraud on your card, you will be contacted directly by Fraud Prevention Services and in some cases your card may be temporarily closed for your protection. They will never ask you for your card number as they have it so never give anyone your card number over the phone or in an email.

MasterCard Automatic Billing Updater
One of the biggest problems for merchants who process debit or credit cards on a recurring basis is maintaining accurate credit or debit card information on file. In any given year, roughly 50-70% of MasterCard® and VISA® cardholders will change their account information. This places a heavy burden on merchants to reach out to customers and capture the updated information. If consumers are properly informed of the terms and give their full consent to recurring card charges, auto-renewal methods can benefit both the individuals and the businesses involved.
Automatic Billing Updater prevents disruptions due to account changes and extends the life of automatic payment arrangements by helping secure these ongoing revenue-generating relationships while locking in revenue, reducing processing costs, maintaining service continuity, and strengthening cardholder satisfaction.
How it Works:
- Merchants enroll through their processor
- Card issuers (Lake Elmo Bank) submit electronic files with updates when a cardholder’s account information changes.
- Card Issuers are required to send these file updates within two business days and are strongly encouraged to send them daily to ensure that account-on-file merchants have the advantage of the latest authorization data.
- The merchant’s credit card information is sent to their processor who then processes inquiries against its database and provides responses.

Cardholders typically set up automatic payments using their MasterCard® cards for two reasons:
- Make payments easier
- Make payments on time without having to do anything
When Card-on-File is discontinued because of an account change, the cardholder may be unaware until the service stops—and that disruption is usually perceived by the cardholder as a sign of poor customer care. The MasterCard® Automatic Billing Updater is a systemic solution that helps maintain automatic payment transaction volume and boosts customer satisfaction while reducing customer service demand.
MasterCard® and VISA® have enforced these changes and is not controlled by financial institutions issuing credit and debit cards.
It is the cardholder’s responsibility to provide updated card information to the merchant. In order to stop authorized recurring payments, the cardholder must revoke their authorization with the merchant. The cardholder is liable for all authorized recurring payments and must provide proof of revocation in order to dispute a debit card transaction. Lake Elmo Bank is not responsible for any late or finance fees that may be charged if the MasterCard® Automatic Bill system does not update card information at a participating merchant. Cardholder cannot opt out of the MasterCard® Automatic Biller Updater program at this time.

What is a mobile wallet?
Allows you to pay for your purchases with your compatible iPhone or Android by holding your phone near the participating merchants terminal or online. If you are an iPhone user, you would use Apple Pay and if you are an Android user, you would use Masterpass.
What Lake Elmo Bank Debit Cards work with the mobile wallet?
Lake Elmo Bank’s consumer and business debit cards can be enrolled. Health Savings cards are not eligible.
How is my card information protected when using a mobile wallet?
Your debit card number is not stored on your mobile device or provided to the merchant. A unique token code is created for your device. When a purchase is made in person or online, the token number is used to process your transaction. Your actual debit card number is never shared with the merchants or transmitted during the payment process.
Can I use more than one Lake Elmo Bank Debit Card in my wallet?
If you have multiple Lake Elmo Bank debit cards they can all be loaded into your mobile wallet. Health Savings cards are not eligible.
Why is it asking me to contact my financial institution for further verification?
You may be asked to contact Lake Elmo Bank for additional verification information for security purposes. Call us at 651.777.8365 or stop in to any of our office locations. Once we have verified your information, you should receive a notification that your card is ready to use. Additionally, you will receive a confirmation letter from us.
If I get a new card, how do I replace my old LEB debit card with my new card?
If your card was replaced due to fraud, lost or stolen, you will remove that card from your mobile wallet and then add your new card.
What happens if I replace, update, or lose my mobile device?
The token that is created in place of your card number is specific per device so you would need to enroll your debit card in the mobile wallet on your new device. Before you trade in your old mobile device, remove your cards from your mobile wallet. iPhone users who lose their phone can use Find My iPhone to easily suspend the device account number. No matter what mobile device you are using, you can contact Lake Elmo Bank at 651.777.8365 and we will deactivate your card from your mobile device.
